nefolk "The Die Is Cast" phrase is popularly attributed to Julius Caesar upon crossing the Rubicon river on his way back to Rome from a conquest, once he was certain he's returning with but one clear purpose in mind: TO OWN IT.

The dice is cast for everyone of us as human beings as we have nothing beyond death there for us in the end. So let us own it.

As for "Venus Armata", I have ordered the CD years ago and have it in this huge cloud somewhere below (impossible to scroll down to anyhow). Favorite track: The Die Is Cast.
Alice M.

Alice M. Noisy neoclassical dronish darkwave stuff (RateYourMusic goes crazy with the tags on this one), with the voice of Preterite. Can music be unsettling and warmly welcoming at the same time? It seems so.

Saint Camille de Lellis RLP Mesmerizing music of an ending world. Favorite track: Surface Vessel.

G M Slater Another incredible blending of darkness, metal drone and beautifully expressive classically inspired voice. Brilliant.

One Too Many 07:40
Stony-hearted Dry as dust Emaciated Soft focus has worn us To shadows Try to rebuild it upon sand Not to commit us too far Just a gentle hint All in all A shift in meaning To see the bitter end.
2.
Damned souls Pearl-laden clouds Weighed down by years Gathering dust Time to renounce Withdraw this love Once was made sacred Lift a corner of the veil of time Secular tears dimmed our eyes As ties came loose We lay face down For the crown not to be worn again A never-ending coronation of life.
3.
Beginning is not, nor end cannot be Shine as a flame in the midst of my body This is the curse on you The curse on me Your name has been carved In the palm of my hands Call the name and fly away Break that evil spell on me Damned souls whirling ahead of our sins Deliver us from the contents of Time Deliver us from the contents of our body Damned souls whirling ahead of our sins.
4.
Skaters on thin ice Soften the blow Of an awaited fall No bones broken The final stretch Is the ideal one Ready I am To break the spell And let things drift In the Summerlands The sea has burst the dykes The moorings are broken Taking roots is beyond the strength Of a shallow breather Of the surface vessel.
5.
Dismantling 05:34
A life of labour to get unstrung For the spine to come unthreaded Years of sacrifice Waiting to jump Into the course of time Without interrupting the flow Ended up entangled Caught on the metal bars Of the merry-go-round Pain, Holy reminder Your name has been tainted Pain, daily reminder Somewhere along the way.
6.
Crude remains Beyond redemption Contorted faces Swallowed up by the darkness Of the gap to be part A bottle of leftover wine Bodies of no leftover life Such a roundabout way to get there The hint of a gesture Broke up the movement for us Took the heat out of us For decay to make its way From the backbone Towards infinity Hang-gliding out Of the fullness of your heart I belong to the interval Of the gap I am part The Holy scar cannot heal over Without secretions of the divine Just swallow the beast for now Unsettled beast Immune to any temptation Of fulfilment.
7.
Life has to run its course Somewhere out-of-the-way Cut yourself off from my bosom Cope with the dreadful truth Cope with that rusty blade into my heart Life has to run its course Cut yourself off from my bosom Cut myself off from the bosom of the Earth Cope with the dreadful truth Cope with that rusty blade into my heart Life has to run its course.
